Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Prepare complex monthly and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and budget forecasting.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and assist in internal and external audits.
- Process Optimization: Streamline accounting workflows and implement internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee fixed asset tracking and inventory valuation processes.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
