Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly and payment terms are adhered to.
- Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between budget and actual figures and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local accounting regulations and internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting workflows and implement new ERP modules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-financial managers.
