We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in Sacramento. As part of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy in all financial data, and managing complex account reconciliations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries and financial reports for accuracy.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
