Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll integration, and general ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and submit accurate tax filings, sales tax returns, and regulatory compliance documents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Maintain internal controls and audit readiness documentation
- Train junior staff on accounting software and financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate finance teams
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
