Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with attention to GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and maintain accurate general ledgers
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and balance sheet accounts
- Support internal audits and ensure adherence to financial controls and policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software systems
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with multi-state accounting operations
