Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage general ledger operations including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes for 500+ transactions daily
- Coordinate external audit engagements and regulatory compliance
- Develop financial models for budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff on GAAP best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in month-end closing procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
