Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Manage daily general ledger entries, perform account reconciliations, and ensure data accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
- Team Support: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support the external audit process.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory counts and ensure accurate valuation of assets.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory for immediate consideration.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) are essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy with a strong focus on compliance and deadlines.
