We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance team on an immediate basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books.
- Prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to senior management.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in a team setting.
