Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and examine complex financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to support executive decision-making.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement necessary controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with GAAP principles is highly desirable.
