Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and variance analysis.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage intercompany accounting transactions.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and KPI reports to support executive decision-making.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
