Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes and forecasting accuracy.
- Maintain and organize financial documentation and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
