Responsibilities
- Lead month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Manage complex account reconciliations for multi-entity operations across 15+ subsidiaries
- Coordinate external audit processes and prepare schedules for Big 4 firms
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Analyze variance reports and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Prepare tax documentation and support quarterly tax filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and multi-state tax regulations
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
