The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of our financial reporting and ensure our accounting operations run smoothly. You will work closely with the finance leadership to drive strategic decision-making and maintain the highest standards of financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deliverables are submitted on time and accurately.
- Prepare complex financial statements and variance analyses for executive review.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany transactions and bank statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist with external audits and internal controls, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
