Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Manage complex general ledger operations and ensure accurate month-end close processes
- Lead accounts payable/receivable functions and optimize cash flow management
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with SOX and GAAP standards
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven expertise in month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex financial data
