Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of all transactions
- Conduct complex reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and balance sheet accounts
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations through rigorous internal controls
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on accounting systems and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated ability to manage month-end closes and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal control documentation
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights to stakeholders
- Proven leadership experience in mentoring accounting professionals
