Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform complex journal entries to reflect the company's financial position.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Process Optimization: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices for internal controls and financial compliance.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the processing of invoices and payments, ensuring all vendor and client transactions are recorded correctly.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities are in strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (GAAP).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and management to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not mandatory for immediate consideration.
- Experience: 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Availability: Must be available for immediate start upon offer acceptance.
