Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, general ledger, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal controls
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor management
- Support external audits and tax preparation activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, reconciliation, and month-end close
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
