Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations and ensure the accuracy of all general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and perform variance analysis to identify trends or discrepancies.
- Assist with the annual external audit process and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
