As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist with external audits and internal control reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Payroll & AP/AR: Oversee the month-end close process, including processing accounts payable and assisting with accounts receivable collections.
- Special Projects: Support the Finance Manager with budget preparation, variance analysis, and special financial projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure accuracy in high-volume work environments.
