Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns with a focus on minimizing liability.
- Conduct internal audits and financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity across all systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for stakeholder reporting.
