Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify financial discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget support.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
