We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Albuquerque, NM. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with an immediate start date for the right candidate. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting business operations.
What You Will Do:
• Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory compliance audits.
• Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee the general ledger and perform monthly close procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
