Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct detailed reconciliations and variance analysis for 15+ accounts
- Prepare and file quarterly sales/use tax returns
- Support annual audit processes with documentation and schedules
- Analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing multi-state tax compliance
