Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare detailed financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses for executive review.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in external audits by providing organized documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows to optimize cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and improve internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
