Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to support strategic business decisions and cost optimization
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and regulatory compliance reports
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Implement and improve internal controls for financial integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Detroit metro area residency required (local candidates only)
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry a plus
