Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Implement and optimize internal controls for compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for high-growth startups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives
- Conduct audits and ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated success in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with nonprofit or for-profit accounting systems
