Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations while implementing process improvements
- Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external partners
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting
- Lead month-end closing procedures with strict attention to deadlines
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or active pursuit required
