Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with federal regulations (Dodd-Frank, AML, GDPR) and California state laws
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and internal audits to identify compliance gaps
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports for management and external bodies
- Provide compliance training to staff across departments with flexible scheduling options
- Investigate potential violations and recommend corrective actions
- Stay current with regulatory changes through continuous research
- Collaborate with legal and audit teams on compliance initiatives
- Document compliance processes and maintain audit-ready records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years compliance experience in financial services or regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations and compliance frameworks
- Certification (CCEP, CRCM, CAMS) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours while meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in compliance software (e.g., MetricStream, RSA Archer)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
