Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and optimize accounting workflows using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in GAAP and tax regulations (federal/state)
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- SAP or Oracle ERP system implementation experience
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in high-volume environments
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
