Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance explanations
- Manage general ledger operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide cross-functional financial support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
