Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes for 15-20 client portfolios
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with strict deadlines
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff on technical best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm background
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Excel with VBA
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-state tax compliance and S-corporation filings
- Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forensic accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
