Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and maintain vendor/client relationships
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and California state tax regulations
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial planning
- Maintain and optimize financial systems with ERP software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven track record in managing high-volume transaction processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
