Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end closes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for multi-entity clients
- Lead tax preparation and compliance initiatives for Texas-based businesses
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel automation
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance adherence
- Mentor junior accountants and provide financial insights to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Texas CPA license or eligibility for immediate reciprocity
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish
