Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Prepare and analyse financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Proven expertise in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholder management experience
