Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with commentary for stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Implement and improve internal controls for financial operations
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and tax preparations
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow optimization
- Develop financial models and forecasts for strategic planning
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing audits and tax compliance processes
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
