We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in Houston, Texas. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and leading key audit processes.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Manage and prepare federal and state tax filings, coordinating with external auditors.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
