Job Description
We are looking for a driven and meticulous Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team in Houston. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records and driving strategic financial planning. You will lead the month-end close process, prepare complex financial statements, and ensure full compliance with GAAP and local regulations.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and board review.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, identifying variances and driving corrective actions.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
