We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Houston, Texas. This is a direct hire opportunity for a professional who excels in financial reporting and process optimization.
As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing complex reconciliations, and supporting our growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and local tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
