Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and internal management reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and preparing required schedules.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Identify process improvements and implement internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
