Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare complex reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax filings and quarterly payroll tax returns
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Analyze financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows with 3+ direct reports
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA or CPA candidacy required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP) and advanced Excel modeling
- Proven track record in multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
