Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger records, ensuring all entries are recorded timely and accurately.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily, monthly, and yearly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including tax filings and internal audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the finance department and implement efficient workflows.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Proactive problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
