Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes with GAAP compliance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Lead internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance (SEC, IRS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accountants and drive team excellence
- Manage vendor relationships and optimize cash flow operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and auditing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record in process optimization
