Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in all general ledger entries and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and assist in the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Collaborate with the tax team to prepare necessary documentation for external audits and federal tax filings.
- Streamline internal accounting processes and recommend process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives to aid in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote environment.
