Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial analysis and budget forecasting support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
