Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform detailed variance analysis to identify trends, assess financial performance, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal control policies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Assist in external audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit process.
- Streamline financial reporting processes and implement best practices for data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
