Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of account balances and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze cost variances, assist in budget preparation, and support the annual budgeting process.
- Compliance & Audits: Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to ensure full compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting processes and implement improvements to enhance workflow productivity.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (CPA/MAcc) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Certification: CPA certification is highly preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
