Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed and payments are made on time.
- Support external auditors and tax preparers during the audit and tax filing seasons.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide insights to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
