Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. You will play a pivotal role in our financial planning and analysis initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate reconciliation of bank and credit card statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecast financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
