Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable/receivable processes efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and tax filings under the supervision of senior management.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and support for budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification or CPA candidate status is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
