Job Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers to maintain cash flow.
- Variance Analysis: Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including variance analysis and forecasting.
- Tax Preparation: Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and software systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Certification: CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
